Welcome to Supreme Start School! As Head Teacher, I am delighted to introduce you to our vibrant learning community. Supreme Start is a specialist primary school in Oldham providing co-educational, nurturing education for children aged 5–11. We are dedicated to helping children with additional needs – particularly social, emotional, and mental health difficulties – re‑engage with learning in a safe and supportive environment.

At Supreme Start, every child matters. Our highly trained staff work tirelessly to unlock each pupil’s potential. We pride ourselves on creating a warm, inclusive atmosphere where children feel valued, confident, and ready to learn. Small class sizes and individualized support mean we can celebrate each small step of progress. We firmly believe that with the right approach, every child can thrive and enjoy school again.

Our curriculum is exciting, sensory, and tailored to each learner. Children take part in hands‑on activities that spark curiosity – from engaging sensory learning experiences in our dedicated sensory areas to adventurous outdoor learning sessions in our playground and local green spaces. We are developing a Forest School area to extend our outdoor education opportunities. By making learning fun and relevant, we help children build critical skills and positive attitudes.

Importantly, Supreme Start’s approach is reintegration‑focused. Our key aim is to equip children with the skills and confidence they need to return successfully to mainstream schooling wherever possible. Whether a child is with us for a short placement or several years, we focus on enabling them to make academic progress, develop socially and emotionally, and prepare for a smooth transition back to a suitable mainstream setting in the future. We work closely with families and the local authority to plan positive progression pathways for each pupil’s successful future.
